Pujols set his deadline for an extension to be reached by noon on Wednesday. I read that as "I heard the Phillies were having fun and I'd like to be traded there by noon on Wednesday"

Dan Szymborski, creator of ZIPS (I think), swung by thegoodphight today to point out that part of the reason for the Ibanez projection is he already hasn't followed a normal aging curve - he had his best three-year run from 35-37, and was right at his career average at 38.
