The Phillies had the highest SB success rate in MLB, had the 9th fewest K's, were 17th in sacrifice bunting, and 7th in runs scored. I think we scored too many runs to want to substitute our strategy for one of small-ball.

Surprise. According to Gelb, Durbin's agent remains in talks with two teams on a possible major league deal, but no offers have been made. The 33-year-old hopes to decide on a team in the 48 hours, but if he doesn't receive a major league deal, he would be willing to compete for a spot with the Phillies as a non-roster player.

I'd welcome Durbin back on an inexpensive deal. Dependable in the regular season and makes Baez and even Blanton more expendable. Let DeFratus master higher-leverage innings in the minors.

Is there any kind of weird IR or other list we can put him on for when we need an extra arm or two late in the year? Cause a pregnant pitcher isn't gonna do us a whole lot of good.
