Uhhh...late inning critical PH situation, exactly when you'd like to have a LHP out of the bullpen. Seems to me in a short series Thome could change the outcome of a game/the series.

I don't necessarily see Martinez going into the eighth or ninth innings unless he's cruising, which means either the Phils have a big lead or Martinez is absolutely dominating and Thome will be next in line to be dominated.
