Mike Piazza Territory

Considering I'm pretty sure I remember Howard hitting one OVER THE FARKING BATTERS EYE, I think we can safely call that area Ryan Howard territory.

Tom McCarthy :h: Mets. It's just that simple. It's not like this is a secret, or an exaggeration. He was excited to get the Mets job three years ago because he grew up a Mets fan. That's fine. Go work for the fuck-ing Mets.

I don't get all the TMac hate. He's vanilla. He doesn't openly root for the other team. I don't see what the problem is.

I think I remember one of Piazza's homeruns at CBP. I was at the game. I don't remember it being a bomb. I guess the other one went into Ashburn Alley? I'm confused here. Did Piazza actually hit a bomb at CBP into Ashburn Alley? Or is TMac just saying that Dukes put a great swing on the ball like Mike Piazza would have? At least the former makes sense.

T-Mac is just saying, "I'm a douchebag Mets fan. I'd like to have Ray Knight's love child."

Does this make a weak infield groundout Luis Castillo territory?

I have a feeling this joke may never die on this board. Swinging at a pitch two feet outside when you are up 2-0 in the count? Oh, that's Jose Reyes territory.

A mile high pop up? He hit it up into Carlos Delgado territory.

I thought that was a throw down the first base line:

"He just about threw that into Aaron Heilman territory, LA, nearly nailing the ballgirl in the process."

"Well, I'll tell you Scott when Pat Burrell was here, nailing the ballgirl meant something completely..."

"Let's not go there, Larry."

I'm pretty sure I remember Piazza hitting a ball into the same area and I'm not sure another Philly has it one into that leftcenterfield spot. And it probably happened when TMac was broadcasting with the Mets. Of course, that doesn't justify him calling it Piazza territory or getting so darned excited about it.

I'm going to send off a note myself. I don't want this boring Bozo being the voice of the Phillies for the next 20 years, and that's what we may have in store for us if he's not cut loose soon. If the Phils aren't first in his mind (and in his heart for that matter) after several years, he's not cut out for this job.

That's the first time I've heard it. It doesn't even make sense, and it wasn't like spur-of-the-moment in the call where he can't think of anyone else. He just randomly says it.
