DOIN THE BULL DANCE

Dugan is starting to eclipse his father, Dennis, in the family hierarchy, and that's hard to do. Dennis is a big-time Hollywood director who has guided Adam Sandler on such comedies as "Happy Gilmore" and "Big Daddy" while also acting in movies. He played the role of private eye Richie Brockelman on the 1970s TV series, "The Rockford Files," which excited Dill.

Looks like he played first too, according to the site I was just on.

Kelly Dugan (California) – my personal dilemma with Dugan is fairly simple…the main reason I have him higher than most is also the thing that scares me from putting him any higher; watch Dugan swing a bat and you can see he has the innate ability to wait, wait, wait…and then snap his wrists through the zone; spin that another way and you can say he lacks appropriate pull power for a first baseman due to a slow bat; a professional conditioning program and a tweak or two to his swing setup could give him that split second of bat speed missing to make him a doubles machine reminiscent of a young Casey Kotchman; I’d take the big money and go forth towards reaching my ultimate dream 99 times out of 100, but if I had a scholarship to play baseball in Malibu for Pepperdine like Dugan has…well, I’d have to think long and hard about that one – we’ll see what he does in a few months

stacked with outfielders and they reach on this kid. i'm all for picking the best player regardless of position, but this isn't the best player.

BA had him as #76 in California
PG had him as #236 overall.

Both sites listed him as a 1B. I think we learned our budget answer when Stassi, Myers, etc. got passed.

Both wrong on Clausen: Oaks Christian was the answer.

The kid's family likely has some money. Free ride to the most beautiful setting of any college in the world. Forget it. He's not signinig
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

Hardly any baseball players get full free rides. There's like 12 scholarships per team to split up, they all get like 1/4 to 1/2. Even with a 1/2 ride, Pepperdine's still not cheap.

Still, I wouldn't mind him not signing and us getting a 2nd next year.

Great analysis Callis. Essentially just said that it's better if the guy is successful in college than not.

I'm willing to wait to see the whole picture. Maybe they're going to spend some money in Latin America for a change. Maybe they're gonna use the money for Peavy. Probably neither, but I'll wait for a while.
