Can't blame Hakstol. He can't turn chicken feathers into chicken salad.
The defense is old and slow; the forwards are weak, poor shooters and, overall, slow as well. All that we can hope for is that other teams will need some spare parts to fill in their holes and Hextall can palm off some of these guys to them. There are more than a few guys that should be moved just to get some cap relief so that players from the Phantoms can be brought up like Ghost, Leier, etc.

Wasn't really blaming Hakstol for anything, was just making a joke that the Flyers have a history of panic firing coaches every few years but not changing the players.

I see that but the WIPers will be crying for his head in the not too distant future. Many fans don't realize how bad the shape of this franchise really is. Old, slow, too many big contracts, etc. Its a sad state of affairs.

Thankfully the GM isn't a WIP caller. Or so it appears, thus far.
