I saw the Flyers in the Stanley Cup at the age of 7. I saw the Sixers in the Finals at the age of 11. The Eagles in the Super Bowl at 13. I'm 18 now. I think God was waiting for me to be able to fully appreciate a world title. It's time. We're in the World Series for f*ck's sake. What the hell.

Ricky Bo and Wild Thing pick the Phils
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele

Was thinking this today--not for the DH part (though that certainly makes sense against Kazmir or Lester), just to give us one viable RH bat off the bench.

I didn't allow myself to even breathe it, much less write it anywhere.

Very, very glad to hear it.

That would be sweet esp since Taguchi's ABs have been pointless

If Marson gets called up, he's one lucky sonofabitch.

Major League Baseball has agreed to move the first pitch of Game 6 of the World Series by about 15 minutes to accommodate a half-hour Obama ad buy on Fox on Oct. 29. The start of the game would be pushed back from 8:20 p.m. ET to 8:35 p.m.

"Fox will accommodate Senator Obama's desire to communicate with voters in this longform format," Fox Sports said in a statement. "We are pleased that Major League Baseball has agreed to delay the first pitch of World Series Game 6 for a few minutes in order for Fox to carry his program on Oct. 29. If requested, the network would be willing to make similar time available to Senator McCain's campaign."

MLB's consent to let Fox air the ad also allows Fox to rake in at least $1 million in revenue

I really won't be able to take losing to Tampa again. Fuck them.

2005 Eagles lose to Patriots
2001 Sixers lose to Lakers
1997 Flyers lose to Red Wings
1993 Phillies lose to Blue Jays
1987 Flyers lose to Oilers
1985 Flyers lose to Oilers
1983 Phillies lose to Orioles

this is not friggin ridiculous?

Unfortunately, I will be in Idaho for work for almost the entire World Series (sonofabitch). I am, however, planning a trip to Vegas over the weekend (25th-26th) to watch Games 3/4 in the Venetian sportsbook, where, as fate would have it, I also watched the Eagles/Falcons NFC Championship Game in 2004 and Game 3 of the Phils/Rockies Series last year.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.
