-- Texas picked up Blalock's $6.2M option
-- San Diego picked up Giles' $9M option
-- Houston re-signed Hawkins for 1/$3.5M and signed reliever Chia-Jen Lo out of Taiwan with a $250K bonus, outbidding the Royals and Red Sox

So, is the home one any different other than no number on the front?

I like the road one, which is actually pretty similar to the old Montreal road one.

a couple more changes to keep an eye out for:

-- the Orioles returning "Baltimore" to the road jersey
-- the Rangers returning to red

He just had an interaction with a female Oriole.

Pining for the fjords I think. Great plumage though.

article on the Orioles changes

-- new logo
-- that hat a few posts up
-- circular Maryland flag patch on the left sleeve of both jerseys
-- "Baltimore" on the front of the road jersey (first time in 37 years)
-- "Orioles" written on the right sleeve of the road jersey
-- black alternate jersey

The Marlins are loading up on Second Basemen... that is interesting indeed.

The Marlins received second baseman Emilio Bonifacio and two minor leaguers: second baseman Jake Smolinski and righthander P.J. Dean.

Arbitration eligible Dan Uggla, that other rule 5 success story, seems pretty key to the Marlin's identity, and has that Utley appeal, and I like that he cannot hit Moyer.

This article suggests tat Uggla stays, Bonifacio to third and everyone's favorite Cantu to first. The good news is that the pesky Marlins may create just enough confusion to make them inconsistent, reducing one factor in a repeat winning the NL East.
