I changed the thread title. Making the playoffs (and winning playoff games) wouldn't be nearly as much fun without the MEts.

Mets Geek projects the Mets '09 roster and looks at some options from outside the organization with Pat Burrell and Derek Lowe being the biggest offseason targets.

I suspect if the Phillies let Burrell walk, he'll simply take the best offer. I pray it's not from the Mets, but it certainly could be. He makes a lot of sense for them - and they might enjoy sticking it to us.

I think Burrell is likely to suck if he signs anywhere but Philly
