Only 34 players on our 40 man roster with the option of putting Zagurski on the 60 DL which would be 33 players on the 40 man. Significantly less than other teams.

Durbin, Benson, Ennis, Blackley, Snelling, Carrasco, and Outman among others aren't on the 40 man. They are likely to add guys when they have injuries.

Lahey was designated for assignment. How about offering Pat Overholt to Twins for hi.m? As a sinkerballer, with a decent FB and splitter, he is worth stashing at LV for future help, maybe this year. Still inexperienced as a pitcher, so his reasonable effectiveness is actually fairly impressive. Maybe the light goes on with him this year or next. Hope they try to keep him.

I have a feeling they'll try to work something out to keep him.

I thought the same thing yesterday. I think he was designated for assignment, so they have 10 days to work something out or let him go, I believe. Pretty sure the 10 days are not up yet.

Tim Lahey cleared waivers and was offered back to the Twins today. The Twins accepted him back for the 25K fee.

From today's ESPN Insider...

According to the Boston Herald, the Tigers, Rays and Phillies are a few of the teams interested in trading for Kyle Snyder, who was recently designated for assignment by the Boston Red Sox.

Snyder is currently at his home in Sarasota, Fla., awaiting word of a possible deal.

8-17, 5.57 ERA in his career, 85 ERA+, over 237.2 innings.

He gives up a ton of hits (283, or 10.7 per 9), lots of homers (34), has mediocre control and a K rate just under 6.

He's 30 years old.

He makes $835K this year, or about 20% of Lohse.

Wrong side of 30, sucks, makes a million and deserves less.... I expect an announcement any minute.
