Who's your favorite 2007 Phillies player?

Postby Drugs Delaney » Wed Sep 26, 2007 15:30:13

Before 2006, it was Chase Utley for me, but then Ryan Howard had such a phenomenal season last year that he became my favorite. I still love those guys, but another player has taken their place. I've always liked Jimmy Rollins, but his faults always seemed to diminish his good qualities. This year he still has his faults, but the good things he's done have been awesome. That little guy is quite simply the most fun player for me to watch.

The settings should be changed on the board software to allow for more than ten poll choices. I had to leave off a bunch of players I figured might receive a vote or two.

I so tried to get Mesa and Alfonseca on the list, but there wasn't room. This team is too likeable.

JC Romero, baby! The dude is unhittable.

Actually, I'm not sure who to vote for. Jimmy is the man this year, but Chase has also been pretty ridiculous. If he hadn't gotten injured, we would haave had two players put up historic seasons.

I say this in complete seriousness, but my favorite 2007 Phillie is Clay Condrey.

Abraham Nunez. Few can match his exterior grit and his inner masher, he is the quintessence of a Philadelphia player and I just wish people would lay off of him! He's trying his hardest out there and when he hacks, he just wants to win!

Burrell. You know, at least that's what my wife says. I wouldn't really know

I think Dallas Green has a few thoughts on Burrell's ass as well.

Rollins has become my favorite Phillie ever. I love watching him play. Bad Jimmy can be frustrating, but Good Jimmy is a blast.

Is Pat Burrell really five times as popular as Ryan Howard? Who would have forecast that in June?

small sample size
Burrell is helped by doing so well since his horrid slump. Howard had set too high expectations last year.
