Burrell is helped by doing so well since his horrid slump. Howard had set too high expectations last year.

That and Burrell gets the contrarian vote.

Kinda, I don't have a favorite Phillie. It's like asking me who my favorite child is. One may drive me nuts more, but I love them all the same. However, I only voted for Burrell since I LOVE showing people that they are wrong. Burrell has helped me show people that they are wrong and thus, he is my favorite Phillie since he has helped me add to my ego.

That's what I meant (as in, I didn't mean it as a slam), so contrarian was probably the wrong word.

He gets the "take that, haters" vote, which probably increases his likability factor by 10 or 15% on top of his actual performance (which is hardly shabby)

That isn't what I was saying. It's not a "take that hitters" just to take that. It is a "I defended Burrell despite people hating him for ridiculous reasons and now I get to gloat (despite his bad play of late)."

When you put it that way, it doesn't sound so much like narcissistic personality disorder.

What is funny is that this is what EVERYBODY does, but only a few of us acknowledge and accept. I may have a narcissistic personality disorder, but you are in denial of your narcissistic personality disorder. I am in better shape.

No I'm not. And I prefer if you call it megalomania.

Last year it was Howard and Utley. This year Utley and Rollins. Hard to choose but I went with Rollins.

If you did this 6 weeks ago, Hamels would have gotten 97% of the vote. He goes on the DL, and people act like he died

I thought we were voting for our favorite human playing for the Phillies. Hamels gets the God vote.

burrell - carried the team when they needed someone to step up the most and keep the season alive. Love how excited he gets on big plays. You can tell how badly he wants to make the playoffs.

Also, he is going to hit a HR tonight to drive the CBP crowd into a frenzy
