Howard will always be my favorite, no matter how he plays.

I decided that I have enduring love for Rollins this year, though - I used to be hot and cold on him.

I am still hot and cold on Jimmy. I don't see me ever being any different. Cue the "gritty, blue-collar Philadelphian" arguments about Jimmy compared to Chase. Not that I hate Rollins, I just prefer Utley.

If I was given the opportunity to include them, I would have. Hell, I also wanted Clay Condrey, John Ennis, Freddy Garcia, Jon Lieber, Kane Davis, Francisco Rosario and Mike Zagurski among others.

Burrell has slipped back into his routine during Sept: Getting under a lot of pitches and popping up/flys .220-ish BA, with a lot of walks and a few HRs. It actually kinda works and you do get the 1-2 months in a given where he really lights up

Kinda, I don't have a favorite Phillie. It's like asking me who my favorite child is. One may drive me nuts more, but I love them all the same. However, I only voted for Burrell since I LOVE showing people that they are wrong. Burrell has helped me show people that they are wrong and thus, he is my favorite Phillie since he has helped me add to my ego.

How do I need help? What is better than somebody undertsanding their lmitations and issues and embracing them? I could be in denial, and then I'd need help.

Ryan Howard, after following him and thinking he was a future star at Reading at a time the Phillies were still bad-mouthing his future. Utley never played at Reading and Burrell was can't-miss, so for some perverse reason, not as strong an emotional attachment as to Howard. Rollins second in my affections. Triples are the best play in baseball to watch.
We now know that Amaro really is running the Phillies. He and Monty seem to have ignored the committee.

That Pete Laforest -- my favorite player -- is not an option shows you hate freedom.

That's what I meant (as in, I didn't mean it as a slam), so contrarian was probably the wrong word.

He gets the "take that, haters" vote, which probably increases his likability factor by 10 or 15% on top of his actual performance (which is hardly shabby)

That isn't what I was saying. It's not a "take that hitters" just to take that. It is a "I defended Burrell despite people hating him for ridiculous reasons and now I get to gloat (despite his bad play of late)."
