I think the snow is the real answer. Almost certainly filmed in Vancouver.

I've been thinking about re-watching the series again sometime soon. The final season gets a lot of heat but I thought it was one of their best.

not so fun fact:

when AJ and his pals break into the school's pool and wreck the place, one of the girls hanging with them is Lady Gaga

I also just watched the whole series over the course of a few months. I didn't hate the ending as much as some did. My feeling is that Tony was whacked by the guy in the bathroom, who went to get the gun, The Godfather-style.

Pine Barrens is my favorite episode, no question. I loved seeing Leotardo's face getting plowed. Bobby dying was the saddest part of the show for me. I loved that character for the series duration.

I liked how Tony kills Christopher, then keeps reiterating to everyone about the babyseat and how if the baby was in the car, she would have died, like he was trying to justify suffocating Christopher to anybody with ears.

To believe that “nothing happened” or “Life goes on” is in direct contrast to the structure of all six seasons. The show was, while complex in the amount of detail and depth of character, pretty classic story-telling. When Chase did wallow in ambiguity, it was only for peripheral matters or the ending was there but the audience just failed to see it. Take the famous Russian Valery in the “Pine Barrens,” the episode wasn’t really about him or his ultimate fate, it was about Paulie and Christopher’s deteriorating relationship

I used to believe that.

his case has blown my mind. he converted me from a staunch 'life goes on' guy. it was the whole POV/bell thing that did it.

I thought it's pretty clearly explained and analyzed for years that Tony got got and that was the end.
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?
