Anybody have any suggestions for some good science podcasts? Like Physics and/or astronomy type stuff. I listened to a couple from Neil de Grasse Tyson's Star Talk podcast. I love that guy, but found it to be pretty disappointing. The two that I listened to had a bunch of comedians and other celebrities on there who don't know anything and have no reason to be on there. They spent the whole time making stupid jokes and just trying to one up each other and I didn't learn a thing.

The two part This American Life on the Chicago high school is so good, and so depressing.

On a side note, the new-ish iPhone podcast app is just awful. The interface is clunky and the whole thing is just kinda janky. Anyone use another app?

are you asking about the TAL app?

i agree. it doesnt update very well. the "latest" section always has bugs were episodes are missing or the images are screwy.

enjoying Carolla's regressive shtick would seem antithetical to many of the views you espouse on this board

Haven't listened to too many comedy podcasts in the last few months. I think I hit a wall. Been on a big This American Life and Radiolab binge though.

I'm totally out on Carolla and only d/l This American Life if I hear good things. Mostly the Sepinwall and Hollywood Prospectus pods for me, with the occasional BS report (too much basketball). Alec Baldwin's "Here's the Thing" is good too
