Well it runs Windows 8, so won't it already have third party support built-in? Not that you'd be doing any PC-like stuff on it

And what is going to cost, you can get an iPad 2 for about $300 now. If an iPad mini is in the same neighborhood, just get the iPad 2.

I'm probably least interested in the iPad Mini of the bunch. If the RT Surface is 300 bucks and the software is good I think that's the front runner.

It's Microsoft, why would the software be good?

I don't get the 7 inch tablets, too small to watch or read stuff on comfortably, too big to put in my pocket

Retiring my clamshell this weekend and going for a smartphone. Any recommendations on which to get? Probably looking between Droid Razor or Incredible, Samsung Galaxy S III, or iPhone 4s. Sticking with Verizon since I get 18% off through work. Most common uses will be texting, podcasts, photos, and probably some bathroom/waiting room gaming.

feel like if you wait a little bit for iphone 5 TO DROP you can get a good deal on a 4s, but IDK.

Don't care about waiting to get a good deal, and don't really care about getting an iphone. That being said, if I walk in to verizon and they're damn near giving a 4s away at the door I'd be nuts not to consider it.

I got a Nexus S a year ago and still love it. not too big, not too small, battery life is fine (though waning a bit recently). probably real cheap now

if that doesn't work, rip out the heart of the person sitting nearest you and look into theirs

Prefer Android to iPhone from a company policy pov. So is the Galaxy SIII the consensus pick for that? Is there a differnt android option I overlooked but shouldn't have?
