Apparently, someone attacked Rick Moranis in NYC this morning.

I've certainly used the phrase "under your belt" to indicate that at least a first time has been attempted and completed, but I'm just now realizing it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Naw, I'm an "over the top" guy. Nothing but elastic waistbands for me. Maybe why I don't understand the whole belt thing.

i wonder if the perpetrator got extra bonus points in this sick and twisted game that's been kinda popular in NYC over the past year or so? if you scroll down in the post everyday, there's always another story. it used to be front page news, now unless you're a celebrity it's like 4th page.

50 degrees when I picked up the dog's meds this morning. Felt like 0 kelvin.

My son's school (middle school) would run a hybrid plan for the returning students by splitting them up into A group and B group. A would be in-person Monday and Tuesday, B would be in-person Thursday and Friday. Then on alternate weeks, A would be Wednesday and B would be in on Wednesday.

My daughter's school (3rd grade) would also split into A and B groups however, group A would be in person from 8:30 to 11, then remote and unstructured (no virtual/zooms, etc.) the rest of the day and B group would be remote and unstructured in the morning and then 12:45 to 3:15 in person Monday to Friday.

Seems like for my daughter's day she'd spend more time on the bus than in the classroom.

We decided to keep both our kids virtual until the next window in January.

Good call. I much prefer virtual kids than the real thing.

Even I would consider having a virtual kid.

Had a pretty insane night fishing off the Brigantine Jetty. Some boat, with no GPS or any other electronics slammed into the jetty at about 25 knots and then flew at least another 30 yards onto the jetty once it hit it. Miraculously, no one was injured, which is pretty insane. It immediately reminded me of Jose Fernandez. The got lost coming back from a fishing wreck off of Ocean City going back to LBI. They figured they would just follow the lights to AC and then take the Inter-costal waterway back to Beach Haven. Without a GPS or charts, they had no idea about the jetty. Crazy night.

caught a neighbor snapping a picture of the truck parked on my driveway. little people and their hybrids and SUVs, I'm rocking a 10 wheel dump truck (no trump cannot come over to play). They are re doing driveways in the neighborhood and I got a deal to 'do it today', so I got the truck full of asphalt to store while the bust their way up the block.
