The Council designates July as National Hot Dog Month; National Hot Dog Day varies year to year. It's usually the 3rd Wednesday of July, but in 2020 it falls on Wednesday, July 22 – based on when the North American Meat Institute hosts its annual Hot Dog Lunch on Capitol Hill.
