Pretty sure ODelets was the name for Disco Tex' backup singers after the drug habit took hold.

I liked the steep price clue. Odelets can go fuck itself.

For some reason my Saturday paper didn't show up, so I had to do this online for the first time. Tells me how long it took. I do not need to know that. Especially since i spent five extra minutes searching for why the puzzle was wrong , only to find out it was because I put a zero in instead of an "O."

My air unit stopped working.. maintenance can only run me over a portable, but since I live in a studio it should be enough to get me by until it's fixed.

Yup. If you go on the SXM website right now they are advertising $5/mo and a free echo dot.

It has been challenging planning a vacation. Normally we would go to my parents' lake house, but they said people are not distancing on the beach at all and it's a shit show. We were looking at Maine bc there are a lot of places with private beach or lake access, but you require a negative Covid test within 72 hours of entering. New Hampshire is more lax but harder to find places on the waterfront. Jersey Shore is a no-go bc we've seen it get gross after noon so we'd have nothing to do for half the day. May try Delaware. Lewes beach was dead last time we were there

I guessed on Odelet as that is most certainly a thing they just made up and I was like 'well it seems to fit here so let's just see how it goes'.

Steep price was a classic late week clue imo. Thought the Sunday was kind of bullshit this week...I liked the gimmick but there were a ton of factual clues that you can't reason your way into that were pretty obscure.

We are going to do DE. I wanted to stay in the Rehobooth area, but my wife doesn't want to go there since it's more likely to be crowded, so we are going to Slaughter beach instead. Never been before, but it sounds like it's not very touristy and kind of off the beaten path

very off the beaten path. the beach is more bay than ocean. might be lucky and see hundreds of horseshoe crabs mating.

We are looking at a place at Dewey beach right now. My friends said Rehoboth was fine until noon then it was pack. The place at Dewey is right on the beach so we can go early, head back easily if it's crowded then go back when it's dead again. Also Lewe's bay was incredible, so we can do that if we need too.

Fun geography fact: the southern tip of New Jersey is further south than the northern tip of Washington, DC.

I knew this! And consider--if you continued thw mason Dixon line from west to east rather than dip it around Delaware, a chunk of nj would be south of it.

My aunt has a place nearby. I haven't been yet but she's spent most of the pandemic there and her pictures are incredible. Pretty much exactly what I would look for in a vacation spot (chill on the deck all day, maybe go for a walk on the beach in the early morning and/or evening). There are no lifeguards though so keep that in mind if you're a swimmer family.
Another day, another box of stolen pens.
