$60/year
I guessed on Odelet as that is most certainly a thing they just made up and I was like 'well it seems to fit here so let's just see how it goes'.swishnicholson wrote:PrattRules wrote:Did 99% of the NYT saturday crossword. I liked the steep price clue. Odelets can go fuck itself.
For some reason my Saturday paper didn't show up, so I had to do this online for the first time. Tells me how long it took. I do not need to know that. Especially since i spent five extra minutes searching for why the puzzle was wrong , only to find out it was because I put a zero in instead of an "O."

We were looking at Maine bc there are a lot of places with private beach or lake access, but you require a negative Covid test within 72 hours of entering. New Hampshire is more lax but harder to find places on the waterfront. Jersey Shore is a no-go bc we've seen it get gross after noon so we'd have nothing to do for half the day. May try Delaware. Lewes beach was dead last time we were there
it was something like 'thing to pay a steep price for' and the answer was tea.Bucky wrote:was 'steep price' D=E=A=T=H

We are going to do DE. I wanted to stay in the Rehobooth area, but my wife doesn't want to go there since it's more likely to be crowded, so we are going to Slaughter beach instead. Never been before, but it sounds like it's not very touristy and kind of off the beaten path

Fun geography fact: the southern tip of New Jersey is further south than the northern tip of Washington, DC.

very off the beaten path. the beach is more bay than ocean. might be lucky and see hundreds of horseshoe crabs mating.
