Idk, he's been running for six years and in all that time he has evidently done nothing to ingratiate himself to anyone who could help in this moment among the Democratic establishment, maybe for starters by just trading his precious sense of principle enough to join the Democratic party; he also did nothing or next to nothing to use his considerable base to get any allies elected who could be helping him now (some progressives got elected in 2018 of course, but no thanks to Sanders); and as others have pointed out, he has arguably therefore lost ground over 2016. This might be in part because Biden > Hillary, but regardless it surely does not augur well for his chances going forward in this primary.
Elizabeth Warren did him no favors, to be sure, and I was really pulling hard for a Sanders win, but he's really got no legit path now. Next Tuesday he will lose Missouri and Mississippi, and if he loses Michigan it's really, really over.
