It's going to get cancelled. Most cities are going to follow the lead of Seattle, SF, NBA, etc. and stop all of these events. Won't be shocked if MLB and NHL follow along.

my unplanned work load has been trying to pull people back from all over the damn globe. If I can't get them home soon enough they look to be stranded, and it appears that there is some kind of shenanigans where if the work they're doing runs out they would be furloughed in place and get compensated for hotels and meals. We had a team that was planning to come back tomorrow so they are good, another guy who was planning to come back in about a week and the guy who was slated to roll out from a different country Friday. I think we've got at least one or two teams in the right place, except I don't have any idea how I get them back without touching Europe. I guess some kind of fly around the world trip through Australia or some crazy s***. They're not all my teams but everybody now is a logistical problem to solve. Going to be a long freaking night.

Trump, who has been relentlessly mocking Biden for his gaffes, just announced in an Oval Office address that he is banning goods trade from Europe although he is not banning goods trade from Europe.

A distinct possibility: Trump had one of his regular reading issues. He said the “prohibitions will not only apply” to cargo. Very possible the text said the prohibitions “will not apply” to cargo, he accidentally added the “only,” and then, as usual, tried to roll with it.
