sounds like you're caffeine sensitive. My wife has the same issue.

I developed that a few years ago where sometimes it would just make me so anxious I thought I was going to go into an anxiety attack. Well I kept drinking it anyway and eventually got pretty OK on it. I still have cut my intake down since then though...the interim time wasn't very fun.

Must be. It's weird, I've never had issues with it until recently, but it has sucked.

Have you changed anything in your coffee drinking habits? If not I'd consider other recent changes. The coffee reaction may just be an indicator to something else.

Not that I can think of. I'm not a regular coffee drinker anyway, which may be part of the problem as I don't build up a tolerance by drinking it everyday. But again, never had these reactions before. I think I'm just old and broken.

had hip reconstruction surgery on Monday. At 46, was too young for a replacement, so they dislocated my leg, shaved down the "ball" on the femur which had cut through the labrum and cartilage on the inside of the hip, and reattached everything. Only two incisions and six stitches. Three and a half hour surgery.

Pain is far more manageable than the ruptured Achilles I suffered in 2007. Some bruising around the incisions. Hip is very stiff. PT starts Tuesday, have a 6-9 month recovery period in front of me. Very tired, been napping at least twice a day.

Surgeon gave me a month of convalescent leave, which means I get paid as a Colonel, do PT, binge watch tv and sleep a lot. Better than doing this when I am retired.

Not being a regular coffee drinker is probably a lot of it. If your general mood has changed with recent events that could explain the different mood when "coming down" off your caffeine high.

Where are you accumulating all this change?

Recently bought an old "save for an encyclopedia" piggy bank for the treasure hunt aspect. Nothing spectacular but the silver coins at least covered the cost of the treasure hunt. Kind of understand the people that buys rolls of change and sort thought them now.

i have this thick glass rectangular vase i picked up at ikea. 18" tall, 4x6" (although it tapers to 5" in the middle- modern art, ya know). I keep it under my desk and just empty my pockets into it.

to tell you the truth i was expecting a bit of silver. but none yet. a few foreign coins, a buch of arcade/batting cage tokens. But not one piece of silver yet.
