Politics Thread: Wear Your SPF and Don't Get Bernie'd

Out of curiosity, to the Biden supporters: Is it just that you think he has the best chance of beating Trump, or are you actually excited at the prospect of a Biden presidency? If so, why?

If it is required to say you'd vote for Tulsi Gabbard or Williamson to be anti-Trump, you're going to be closing the door on a lot of people who don't like the president.

Why so eager to alienate potential allies?

Because if you're anti-Trump, you vote to try to make sure he gets the fuck out of office. This guy is too dangerous for that shit. You vote for the person that has the best chance of beating him, and that's not "vote thrid party".

I mean, I don't like Donald Trump at all. I'll take my chances with another four years of him over Tulsi Gabbard.

That said, it is good to see you're on board for Biden in the primary emphasizing the importance of voting for the person with the best chance of beating Trump.

I'm pretty sure we know Gabbard won't be the nominee.

I'm not sure I agree with the evaluation of Biden, but if he gets the nomination he has my vote.

I'll say it again, Gabbard needs to go away. I caught a clip of her the other day stumbling over her disposition on Syrian leadership, again, in summer 2019. Gabbard picked up a liking for Williamson's healthcare line, literally swiping it immediately after the debate. She should be dumped from her current office by the good people of Hawaii.

My plan for Williamson supporters is to distract them with healing salts and regenerative crystals until she completes her book tour, er, presidential campaign.

Remember all that hand-wringing when gay marriage was not legal yet from people who were like "slippery slope floodgates what next bigamy!?!?!?!"

I keep thinking that the way things are going that states will have to legalize marriage among three or more people, because people will require that many incomes to keep one house with a few kids going. As it is right now it would be pretty fucking useful at my house, say, if while my wife and I went to work there were somebody home like making sure the house didn't fall apart and kept the laundry done and whatnot. It's either that or we all need three day weekends: one day for socializing, one day for errand running and chore-doing, and one day to, you know, rest.

Three spouse families and three day weekends: VOTE WOLFGANG 2032!!!!!

You've got phred's vote

Funny because my wife and I have had a similar conversation in the past around a house that is in our neighborhood that is just supremely large and amazing. It is well out of our price range and would be completely impractical for our family. If we could get 1 or 2 other families to go in on it though we could all live there together...

Klobuchar qualified for next round of debates. I think she has a chance of getting the Biden votes when he fades.

Really bad news! The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!

What an asshole.

I guess Don got in on the act of trashing Obama while at his rally last night. Even the Dems agree that Obama was bad.

Good job wannabes, way to high five the incumbent and his agenda.

Ratcliffe said that he was behind rolling up hundreds of illegals, ICE says slow your roll bro.

Not in his district, had no role in it, and the people working the case don't know him. Reckless conflation, and look at me credit grabbing, AKA perfect for this admin.

@realDonaldTrump
Our great Republican Congressman John Ratcliffe is being treated very unfairly by the LameStream Media. Rather than going through months of slander and libel, I explained to John how miserable it would be for him and his family to deal with these people........John has therefore decided to stay in Congress where he has done such an outstanding job representing the people of Texas, and our Country. I will be announcing my nomination for DNI shortly.

The lack of vetting by the White House has multiple positives from their perspective. They don't have to do the work on the front end, then on the back end when the utter absence of prep blows up in their face, the prez can just blame the LAMESTREAM MEDIA.

Is there a real reason for a DNI, anyway? Probably the best we had (Clapper) lied to the American people. It would seem they give advice that mostly isn't listened to and simply serve as a buffer between agency heads.

From what I can tell, Gordon seems fairly competent. Let's hope he just stick w her.

Sarah Palin is probably rolling in her grave with every Trump mention of Lamestream media.
