I don’t think so, I think it is like what you get if you move in at the end of a trimester or something, but I have no idea.

Also, my kids are smart, my son is always 95th plus percentile in math and reading on the standardized tests. He’s on a high school reading level, he just started the dark tower series, and is in an accelerated math program where he took 7th grade math this past year in 6th grade and is going into prealgebra in the fall. He does his homework and gets great scores on his tests and quizzes but he gets 3’s in all of his classes. I feel like based on their scale that would equate to a B, but I really don’t feel like he’s a B student, or at least a straight B student, he’s never gotten anything other than a 3 so I just don’t get it. Is a 3 an A? Then wtf is an E?

I guess E is, "We thought your kid was a real dummy, but just look at this shit!" If they already know he's smart, I suppose he can only meet expectations.

That's some good shit, but it does also involve a gun barrel abortion and fucking the demon out of someone.

[Reveal] Spoiler:
Also a demon fucks one of the characters as a woman and then stores the sperm, becomes a man and uses the stored sperm to impregnate a female character later.

Oof... thank you for reminding me that, I read them like 10 years ago and didn't remember that part. Maybe I'll have him take a break for a few years.

King is a really weird dude, I really do enjoy his writing and even his average stuff is great, but he does occasionally go down some weird sexual rabbit holes.

Probably, just seems like a really weird grading scale, you either are horrible, need to get better or fine.

I did too actually, which I why I had recommended the Dark Tower series to him. The first King book I read was The Tommyknockers and it was the summer between 6th and 7th grade

My kids were advanced readers. I worried about a book one of them wanted to read in 7th grade, but his teacher told me that things that kids did not necessarily understand how to deal with were just sort of filed, and they move on. It could be OK.

I reached out to him in March to see how he was doing and he said
Hey - no need to worry but I appreciate the concern. In a lot of pain after the surgery so I'll update more once I'm feeling a little better.

Haven’t heard from him since.
