Lol, I hate connecting though midway, I don’t know what it is about that place but it’s always a shit show. Onetime I had something like a 3 hour layover there during optimal conditions and every single restaurant type place was basically out of food. Another time I slept on a cot in an area off the concourse because it was too cold outside or something for my flight to depart. Hate midway so much.

Ugh it's a disaster. 3 hour layover and now sitting on the plane for over an hour waiting for a de-icing truck. Fuck this place.

Actually I could call and get bumped if it was an air traffic issue. I've had to do it before in MSP to make sure we even took off. This is just the incompetently of the MDW ground staff.

the kid's machine is fine, but my desktop (almost 5YO, i7, Win7x64) keeps hanging 2-3x a day. It actually started on 12/18. Disconnected the USB stuff that I can (all except keyboard/mouse). Ran memtest. Updated NVIDIA drivers from windows update. No change. Finally went out to the nvidia site and updated the driver from there (they update every week!) and it still hangs, although now it seems more frequent. So grasping at straws I'm thinking it may be a bad video card and ordered a "new" one from ebay for 32 bucks. Were it not for the pains of migrating/installing apps, I'd love to spring for an i9 machine on Win10. But just thinking about getting office re-installed and running again is giving me cold sweats. Let alone all the other little utility programs I might use once every 6 months that I will need to figure out.
