And this is just one of the methods employed in Florida! Fortunately the good people of Florida (what?!) have done some work to reverse this.

There is literally no country in the world that disgusts me like SA does. I have met a fair number of people from there and I have yet to meet one who wasn't a lying asshole. Ok, maybe one, but even he had his bad days. Backwards theocracy that treats women and their own people like crap. So wealthy that they only know laziness and excess. Anti-education and anti-free thought. They fund terrorism and somehow remain untouched. The fact that they did 9/11 and we still embrace them is just horrible. There also seems to be no backlash from the american people about it either. I'd rather be friends with Iran than SA. Iran has a young and democratic leaning population. Change is on the way there unless we screw it up by getting another generation of Iranians to hate us.

That map is nice DiM but it does not explain how CA-50 retained Duncan Hunter (won 53.9 percent of the total vote). I know, CA-50 was all in on Trump, but Orange County has been a historic GOP bastion birthing the likes of child prodigy Jacob Wohl and it flipped.

No sir, you are very wrong, the US led the way as it was paid in advance. In October the US received release of pastor Andrew Brunson. Say what you will, including Brunson's release was very reasonable to the US, but that concession from Turkey is a very big win to the Mike Pence part of this political equation, and there is an expectation out there. Clearly it seems like there is enough distance to break the straight up quid pro quo only due to short attention spans.

8 out of 10.

While the Dems had to defend 10 seats in Trump country, they won 8.

80% is truly a part of the biggest blue wave since the real Watergate.

Maria Butina is reported to be in talks for a plea deal. I missed that in 2016 her boyfriend, Republican fundraiser Paul Erickson, contacted the Trump campaign with an offer to set up a back-channel relationship with the Russian government via the National Rifle Association. I have to assume that statement has some truth to it since NPR reported it.

Where did this post watergate blue wave occur?

in these United States of America

I'd disagree that the Watergate is too glitzy anymore. Its spendy, but sort of rundown.

Watching a couple of interviews of the newly elected House Dems on CNN and MSNBC, I realize the Pelosi leadership thing is the new Hillary emails thing.

The first question these fucking people are asking is if they're gonna support/vote for Pelosi for speaker to people who have spent 3 fucking days getting acclimated. It's ridiculous.

At home in MA what I’m hearing about most is the need to lead on addressing gun violence, compassionate immigration reform, crippling student loan debt, the desperate need for a #greennewdeal. Here in DC I’m being asked one question repeatedly.

I would say that it isn't voter suppression per se, but *vote* suppression. Either way I think intent is implied though.

Is there a case to be made for holding a special election just in Broward, just for the Senate race?

That's true, but with SA it's on steroids. About 10% of the students at my old school were SA. In the 7 years I was there, not a single one of them even attempted the IB program (similar to AP). Not one. About 98% of the rest of the students both attempted and succeeded at taking it. Not a single american didn't attempt and succeed.

One time someone left a bag in the lobby after a travel weekend. I looked inside to see who it belonged to and there was a receipt from a Geneva hotel for 13-14k. That's just the hotel bill for the weekend. That doesn't count the 2 hour limo ride there and back, the escorts they probably got for the weekend, and all the bottles of insanely expensive champaign they most likely bought. Most of the students there had money, but with the SA, it was billions instead of millions. And they made sure everyone knew it. I hate making a blanket statement about a culture, but they are just gross. I wish we'd cut all ties with them and put our money/resources elsewhere, especially since they are going in an even more scary direction as a country.
