No thanks; go be president of West Virginia

"A car ride of two-and-a-half hours, each way, would have required closures to substantial portions of the Paris roadways for the President's motorcade, on short notice," said press secretary Sarah Sanders. "President Trump did not want to cause that kind of unexpected disruption to the city and its people."

That is one slow ass ride.

well, the points can be argued, but i think this is one where you have to pick your battles. There's so much indisputable nonsense that we need to let this one go.

I agree; this is just more general douchebaggery from Private Bonespurs. I'd rather someone focus on the fact that the WH has openly admitted to using altered, doctered, sped up video from a known right-wing conspiracy theorist to discredit a member of the free press. Regarding the post made up thread, here is the comment from KAC:

“But by that do you mean sped up?” Conway asked in response. “Oh, well that’s not altered. That’s sped up. They do it all the time in sports to see if there’s actually a first down or a touchdown.”

Well actually they'd slow it down to see if there's a first down or touchdown, but I guess that's beyond the point.

@NateSilver538 The recent rhetoric from Trump, and often other Republicans, trying to delegitimize election results is awfully dangerous. Maybe the most openly authoritarian move he's made so far.

Can’t overstate how dangerous this rhetoric is.

It's amazing to me that some people seem to be changing their mind on Trump over time. I mean, he's been the same guy for the last 4 years. Better late then never, I suppose.

Edit: not directed to anyone on this thread, but just reflecting in general.

I have a few people in my town (one that I am friendly with) that openly voted for Trump. Two, in particular, had flags and banners all over their property around the 2016 election. I would love to knock on their doors and ask them if they still support him and, if so, why/how. If Trump actually speaks to your belief system, that is one thing (and a gross thing, at that). If, however, you were one of those people that was just looking for change, hated Clinton, whatever, you absolutely cannot possibly still support the orange dictator wannabe. Those people may actually be worse than the people with the fucked up belief system.

I haven't seen it. All my dumb FB friends and people I know IRL are still all in on Trump.

I'd assume the ones that weren't vocal may have, but hard to tell if they weren't vocal unless you know them well.

In other news the red Arizona candidate needs about 60% of the remaining uncounted votes if she is to win.

The blue candidate sensing a win is quietly hanging out at home. We are not sure if she is going hetero or homo this week. More as the election and what not develops. Stay tuned, we here the lgbtq times has an exclusive.

See b, that is the status of the blue candidate. Lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer. Lgbtq.

I would not kid about that, you can look it up.

At least there will be no controversy over rest room privileges.

Everything else will be cutting out new rules and pictures of date night for page six

Speaking of Trump tweets:

@realDonaldTrump
The prospect of Presidential Harassment by the Dems is causing the Stock Market big headaches!

Yeah, THAT's the reason the markets are down.
