I'm shocked that Amendment 4 had enough support but Gillum/Nelson will lose. I mean I guess I'm not shocked.. it's Florida

Hmm. Dems are likely to win the house and have picked up some important governor seats. Florida is an embarrassment of course.

Also, ballot stuff all over the place is going in a leftward direction (except voter ID). So really, we really need to more clearly articulate that these are democratic positions. (Arkansas is poised to raise its minimum wage to $11 by 2021.)

They have a lovely election night website that shows which precincts have already been counted and which are outstanding. Burlington County, the Dem side of the district, is usually terrible at counting votes and has traditionally posted its results either all at once toward the end of the evening or in two waves (both toward the end of the evening) in an extremely unhelpful PDF format.

That's a long way of saying MacArthur being up a lot early doesn't mean he's going to win. And also if Burlington reports in two waves like usual if the missing votes are like Willingboro & Burlington or Medford & Shamong makes a big difference, and it'd be hard to tell what's missing.

Also somewhat related to the above, Medford has as far as I can tell has not voted for a Democrat for any office on any level since I've been able to vote. Would not be surprising if Kim wins Medford tonight - and depending on how other parts of the district are going he might have to (Trump won it by 4%, won the district by 5%).

Another thing that's happened, though this is the least surprising result, is the Democrats have had some success rebuilding their bench. I've heard nothing about state legislature races, but those are really important. However, the Dems clearly have lots of solid fresh faces winning house seats tonight. Even more importantly, though the last several elections have shown otherwise, it's been the case that for most of our recent history, the path to the White House goes not through the Senate, but through a state capitol.

Moz conceded on Facebook. I’m super pissed for him. Thought he had it in the bag when his original opponent dropped out.

Mother Forking FL. The venereal diseased retirees of the villages winning the day with the red agenda. The state is a general shit show, but no one is learning a thing down there. Old dog/new tricks or syphilitic dementia?

One other thing to keep in mind--this is a defeat for Trumpism, no matter how others spin it. Sure, taking the Senate would have been great.

But consider--the economy is objectively (at least for the moment) solid. And yet Dems have still been able to take the House and win a bunch of governor's races.

The spin is in TV. Where Trump went, the GOP won in the senate even picking up a few seats.

Some interesting results right around Chester County in the State House. Milne and Kampf had been there forever and appear to be heading towards losses. 154 and 156 going for Dems too.
