Right. But, shouldn't the urgency, at least, protect the Dem seats that are challenged? Blue should absolutely destroy this cycle, as the President and Republican leadership are some, quite simply, horrendous human beings.

I agree with you in form, but not to that degree. There's no way there isn't interference. They've gone out of their way to make sure nothing is in place to stop it for a reason. And once it is done, it can't be undone. We have no way to undo it, especially when they control all the levers of power. It wouldn't surprise me if the R's narrowly hold the House and, of course, easily keep the Senate. The Resistance will tire and grow to accept that we'll officially be a banana republic.

I'm kinda thinking along the same lines. I think we'll know just how deep outside influence goes, and just how fucked the nation is, if this doesn't at least get the Dems closer. If the GOP lead widens, I believe: 1) Outside influence is real and strong, and 2) The Republicans know and are playing along to drive their disgusting agenda.

Or 3) The Senate map this year is absolutely horrific for the Dems and if either of the other two classes were in cycle the odds of GOP Senate majority holding on would be at least as bad and probably worse than the GOP House majority.

Perhaps the Russians picked which class was up this year and I missed that.

Without outside influence, the House should go dem and the Senate should stay Rep. I didn't see anyone say the Russians chose the class, just that there could be outside influence and possibly inside coordination.

Btw, what does the 2020 map look like in the Senate? It's got to be better for the dems than this one, right? If not, somebody hold me.

Met two Lutheran pastors in rural Kansas. They had some good insight. Farmers in their congregation are getting killed by the tariffs. That's all they talk about. They also hate entitlements but don't see that the bail out is exactly that. The farmers also basically get nothing. Couple cents an acre.

They said some, always vote Republican, will not be doing so this election.

I mean, the Republicans are HISTORICALLY DISGUSTING right now. Thinking that should create an unexpected surge in opposition voters, that the polls wouldn't necessarily reflect, isn't nonsense.

The strongest case for Russian meddling is the Justice Dept investigation of Facebook and twitters actions against recent bot nets.

Maybe it would help if you stopped putting words in people's mouths. I haven't heard anyone say that russian influence is the only way Reps can win. Your faux outrage over something made up in your own mind is unbecoming.

Reps also use gerrymandering and voter suppression. The russian help is just part of it. Oh, and sometimes they win on the merits.
