CNN Generic out today shows Dems +13

True. I retract my landslide prediction but still think that GOP keeps a 2-3 vote advantage.

To not think that there will be an outside influence on this election, I believe, is very naïve.

I'm kinda thinking along the same lines. I think we'll know just how deep outside influence goes, and just how fucked the nation is, if this doesn't at least get the Dems closer. If the GOP lead widens, I believe: 1) Outside influence is real and strong, and 2) The Republicans know and are playing along to drive their disgusting agenda.

Or 3) The Senate map this year is absolutely horrific for the Dems and if either of the other two classes were in cycle the odds of GOP Senate majority holding on would be at least as bad and probably worse than the GOP House majority.

Perhaps the Russians picked which class was up this year and I missed that.

as much as I hate to agree with JH here, the senate map was always going to be horrific for the Dems no matter how unpopular the president is, the fact that they even have a slim chance is beyond my expectations

in Russia, someone set the building that houses the Internet Research Agency (the Russian troll farm) on fire with a Molotov cocktail

the real question is whether it was an "attack" or if Putin already relocated them and needed to destroy evidence

One Molotov cocktail shouldn’t be able to burn down an entire building in this day and age.

That's more like it! I figured there would be a large post-Kav bounce for the Dems.

People in the age range of T. Swift's parents are losing their giblets about her comments. 'She should keep her mouth shut.' Mind you, I am no where near Tennessee.

In related news it reported that there have been 65,000 voter registrations in the 24 hours since Ms. Swift made a comment.

Is there normally rush to register? I was always left with the impression that it was a struggle in general.

Hints that Dina Powell might replace Nikki Haley. She left the WH in February (resigned in December), and went to Goldman for 6 months if she is the successor. Curious path.

Maybe. Just, without hyperbole, this is the most important midterm election in recent history. If that doesn't result in Dems picking up some seats, and they actually lose more, I'd have questions.

They may not be the most legit questions, but still.

There is a picture of Kavanaugh giving a speech to the rest of SCOTUS.

Not even Clarence Thomas is impressed.

The rest of the room is clapping for some reason.

You still need the seats to be actually up for grabs though and a good amount of the Republican ones aren't
