I expect something lie this:

CNN did a great job with these. They even got Fox to cover them. Fox covering CNN, what could be better. Soros tested the idea for them, and when it hit the time to ramp it up was ready. Just look at the map, CNN has a location or an affiliate all within driving distance.

Did anyone say anything about the witches putting a hex on Kavanaugh, and the Catholic church having an exorcism to counter it? I think its old news, but I do not remember a discussion about that particular something something. When I throw out the occasional 'living in crazy times', that any part of this passes any test of reality is unreal.

It may be happening a little too late, but the dow getting hammered can't be good for the Republicans. It's now in negative territory for the year.

I'm not sure how many people will notice the drop, and employment remains strong for the time being. And it might take time to build the narrative that the drop in the stock market is at least in part due to protectionist trade policies. If we link the Democratic wave of 2008 with the economic crisis, we see that the crisis was unfolding throughout much of September and October, with the collapse of Lehman happening on Sept 15.

Read something really interesting regarding all this--over the last few years, for the first time, overall impressions of the economy varied according to one's partisan views. Even when controlling for other factors, Republicans consistently evaluated the economy much worse than Democrats during the Obama years, and presumably, the same thing in reverse would be found now.

I had a recent conversation with a colleague in engineering, talking about retirement. He claimed that under Obama his retirement account didn't do well, but factually that just isn't true--it was during the Bush administration his retirement account, like everyone else's was killed. Obama's recovery may not have been robust, but the stock market did rather well during his 8 years.

All this means the Dems really need to establish the narrative that Republican administrations are ruinous for the economy.

it's definitely true that one's view of the economy is partisan in a lot of cases. I too hear how bad obama was for their 401k. I just snicker.

And maybe it's just my monkeysphere, but the final retort in any anti-trump article is "so how's the market doing huh?" as if that makes up for all the rest of his idiocy.

So while it may be true that the hardcores will just think of some other red herring, i believe a lot of rich white dudes hang their beliefs on their 401K performance.

and actually i just viewed the 5 year dow plot- today's close forms almost an exact plot line from 5 years ago It's a couple hundred points north of exact, but close enough!!!
