So the interim stop will be, the market levels that existed around the time of the coronation of the Donald.

No big deal unless you are the Donald, and want to win the election, and continue to be President.

What do you mean by "interim stop"? Is that where they will bottom out at before heading back up? Or will they keep going down?

In other news, ONE recent Tesla article tied the DECREASE in demand for ICE with interest in EVs saying they are postponing their ICE purchase and waiting for THEIR car to be produced.

That would be a true $35K model 3, or the Y Suv, or the pickup.

The performance/cost/general appeal for an inexpensive model three wipes out regular cars, muscle cars, just a mountain of ICE powered relics.

Imagine the market for a roadster with ONE MOTOR. that demand would be enormous. The roadster is scheduled to have three motors and beat two seconds to 60mph. One motor and a hippy dippy vehicle instead of the ten year ahead of any existing POV. You could sell a million of those a year.

A million y's, little threes, pickup trucks, chasis for the boring company people mover, and mini roadsters, that is much more money than tonight's megamillions drawing by about 100 or so.

Frankly I cannot count that high, I only have my fingers and toes.

Yes, I can attest this is true. I bought a beater used car to bridge the gap between when my 2000 CRV died and I can finally get my Model Y. It's a 2010 Mariner Hybrid I paid $6K for instead of investing in a net-new ICE.

But you'll never see my confirmation of your speculation :(

Hardly seems like speculation to say that interest in EVs is driving decrease in interest in ICEs.

Now that I finally have a garage my next car (hopefully not for several years) will be at least a plug-in hybrid capable of my daily commute (roughly 40 miles round trip) on electric only, maybe full electric. Something like the Model Y would be ideal.

The point, you cannot get a top EV yet.

ONLY TESLA is selling out. All other brands are drowning in the competition.

If the ev demand equal to the decline in ice, then you have a solid connection, cause and effect.

I tend to believe in this case the demand destruction for ICE is happening, however you would have to do a well done study to prove that.

My grass is germinating. This post heart valve surgery state is crap.

I have a 60 foot++ mid front lawn magnolia grandiflora.

It literally ate my front yard. The key to all Magnolia Grandifloras are their incomparable foot wide blossoms. And so the loss of about a yard of dirt later due to erosion, i finally relented and trimmed the tree up to about 14 feet.

That is a large blow, no further magnolia blossoms to take into the house.

When you are in your post cardiac rehab rehab stage, life could be more fun.

Trimming all those branches, without killing the tree is ONLY for an expert, like me.

That was a lot of work.

By the time I graded the topsoil, fertilized and seeded on the 14th, i was two weeks later than planned.

So, the soil temp got to 12.5c laat night.

BECAUSE of the late date, i also planted annual rye. Supposedly that will germinate at 40 degrees F.

Typically, 50-55 is your lower limit, or 10 degrees C for most grasses.

For those who know the key planting is the fine fescue. That thrives with just four hours of sun. The two week fine fescue germination time will probably preclude any fine fescue germination. Oh well.

Dormant seeding may be needed, or more annual rye in the spring or both.

At any rate, the annual, perrenial rye, and tall fescue germinated. ( Due to the Oct 14th date, I was not taking any chances.)

Still come next summer, it is fine fescue or very thin grass due to the shade.

Stay tuned for more grass news.

Now, for the market.

I am in the hating Goldman, and Jp Morgan camps.

The charts say there is no possible way the market is goung to bottom at these levels.

None at all.

These two former top outfits are saying buy.

Dont buy unless your ratios are in hand.

Furthermore Goldman continues to hate on Tesla.

The FIRST TIME they hated on Tesla, they cost me money.

Now, the bottom may not be a bear, but it is not a 6% correction either. We are currently at 6% or so.

I am calling for 20%. Sure we could split the difference.

My barometer is the Russell, it is firmly ensconced far below the 200 day MA.

IF the indices were to revover now, we would have a very sharp V bottom. That almost never happens.

Chances are this is NOT the first interim stop on the road to a bear market.

Beware.

Lets see how things are doing with the NEXT peak in the VIX to the 35-50 range.

Who knows we could just crash and return to a bull.

You never know.

This is a hybrid. This is a cross bluegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, featherbed bent, and northern California sinsemilla. The amazing stuff about this is that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt at night on this stuff. I've got pounds of this stuff. [hands his joint] Here, take a puff on this big ole' Bob Marley joint.

https://www-fool-com.cdn.ampproject.org ... today.aspx

Aha, 30% of terminal ovarian cancer patients responded in a 1b/2 level study.

1 is for toxicity
2 is for optimal dose.

IOW, 30% of patients who were on their way to dying after three prevous failed therapies responded.

That speaks very well to approval after a phase III.

A phase III trial of the imgn compound is due to read out in April.

Phase 1 for two new conpounds to read out in Dec.

Buy on the dip after the pps bases. Prob about 6 weeks from now, more or less.

The vix and trin did not get there, as the S&P dove BELOW the previous interim low.

This will be over in a minute or two.

Seriously, this has a LONG way to run, including a few panic selling days, at least two more.

March has been a popular turn around month, of course the last one started in the fall of 2007 and bottomed in March 2009.

Bucky, please hold your breath, all the rest of you do not do that, you will at least turn blue.

Just breath normally.

If you want to hold your monthly buy of the SPY, DONT.

if you want to buy tsla before earnings, go ahead.

If you are trying to outsmart the other guy racing to buy today, and then sell intraday, please hold your breath until you stop.

UNLESS you mistakenly put your next semester tuition in bitcoin or tsla, dont do a thing. If you did something like that, please hold your breath until you stop.

I hope you got Tsla at 250.

Why doesn't the Chevy Bolt go FAST?.

GM HAS ONE OF THOSE, THEY CALL IT A CORVETTE.

TSLA could NOT be more disruptive.

Everyone will be driving a car with sports car dominance.

BUY BUY BUY TSLA.

In other TSLA news, the three and the Y will be produced in China for the local market.

Watch for the earnings announcement after the bell

A BIG SHORT FLIPPED TO THE FORCES OF GOOD, AND IS LONG TSLA.

BLOOD WILL RUN IN THE STREETS UNTIL THE SHORTS ARE EXANGUINATED. ( DEAD ) BECAUSE ALL THEIR BLOOD LEAKED OUT!

I hope you were listening.

Recapitulation

Buy Tsla at 250, or on ANY dip

Buy imgn, that was a POSITIVE STUDY.

THAT IS WHY I FOCUS ON BIOTECH.

Wait however for the imgn pps to base in a few weeks.

Just to make sure I am entirely clear.

In the furture most all cars will go so fast, there wont be sports cars.

The ultrarich will have literal rockets.

This will decrease the number of models severely.

Tesla is ten years ahead of the competition.

Tsla batteries are literally where the conpetition wants to be in ten years.

Think, electric light bulb, Model A, the invention of the wheel, the invention of brakes, ( very important for wheels, and the reason the Eqyptians slid their stones.)
Telephone, smart phone, pc.

And guess what, tsla vehicles have all that, and will even protect you from nuclear, biological or chemical attack.

( The s and x)

Destructive technology, and disruptive. I think more destructive because they have SIXTEEN YEARS on everyone, and the competition has not fielded anything yet.

The porche Taycan will be a super priced S or X. I doubt they will be able to justify the price. However they will be the first comparable vehicles.

Truly Elon is the second coming of Edison, Ford, Gates, Jobs, von braun, and many others.

Now if he will just use his staff, take his medicine, and get sime sleep, we will all be riding in Tesla's sooner.

1. Clean sheet everything
2. Use first principles
3. Go through the Deming process, which as you should know is never ending. Hence tsla improves its cars every week, not just every couple of years. Certainly after some time, the change looks like a refresh, but only if you do not own a tsla.

In that case you expect an update seversl times a year.
