Top Republicans on Capitol Hill have made a concerted decision in their Russia inquiries: They are staying away from digging into the finances of President Donald Trump and his family.

Six Republican leaders of key committees told CNN they see little reason to pursue those lines of inquiry or made no commitments to do so -- even as Democrats say determining whether there was a financial link between Trump, his family, his business and Russians is essential to understanding whether there was any collusion in the 2016 elections.

Republicans have resisted calls to issue subpoenas for bank records, seeking Trump's tax returns or sending letters to witnesses to determine whether there were any Trump financial links to Russian actors -- calling the push nothing more than a Democratic fishing expedition.

They won't let Dems go after the financials because they know that is where the body is buried. The fact that Rs do not see Adolf's tax returns, etc. as a way to exonerate their leader once and for all, I think, is very, very telling.

Heard more from the Georgia Lt. Gov. He said he is tired of conservatives getting kicked around, and it is time to stand up for conservative values. He was speaking on the topic of looking for ways to punish Delta for taking away preferential treatment for NRA members. That is pretty insane. It is a business decision, and the LtG's stance is an unreal defense of the NRA, not really citizens. I am going to go out on a limb and say he has an A rating and a fat wallet.

I suppose Delta's hub is at Atlanta. Delta should threaten to leave the state and make a new hub for themselves.

I forgot to look at what she is (Congresswoman, local politican, etc.) but Minneapolis has already made overtures since it was a previous hub for Northwest Airlines.

I though both about a threat to bail, and a move to MN. MN has the space, but NWs big game was jumping to Asia over the pole (the airport signs actually feature Japanese). Its not as big a deal since I took a (brutal) DC to Tokyo direct on an ANA 777. You can sort of hub anywhere I suppose. Delta serves a good bit of South and Central America making the extra miles in its network rough (frigging ATL is rough). They could plus up their routs out of Cincinnati to cover. Also, interestingly, they already list MN as a hub, so that would make it easier.

Maybe it is stupid easy to violate the Hatch act, but the Trump Admin might be the best ever at it.

Kushner violated when he released a statement praising Brad Parscale campaign manager announcement.

Nikki Haley violated the law when she retweeted Trump's endorsement of a South Carolina candidate.

White House social media director Dan Scavino violated when he used Twitter to call for the defeat of a Trump critic during the Michigan primary.

Kellyanne Conway was in violation when discouraging votes for Doug Jones.

Scavino and Haley were reprimanded. KAC, somehow, skated as that seems very cut and dry. Kushner actually seems the most tame.
