I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.
So this is going to be a weekly thing now.
His problem is most NFL fans just want to sit back and enjoy the games on Sunday. Those who care deeply about this nonsense have probably already stopped watching or are going to anyway.
Today's stunt was an unforced error on their part because they're sound like a broken record. It was just too scripted and they're going to get called out for it. CNN has already called it a publicity stunt.

OK, he may have a point on the first sentence, especially if you replace "for" with "to".

Corker is already done. I wouldn't be surprised if Susan Collins is one of the next to announce that she won't run for re-election. People like Jeff Flake are at risk of losing to extreme right candidates.
The only thing that can stop this madness if moderate Republican voters finally wake up and vote for Democrats in places like Arizona, Missouri, etc.

He is sort of Donald J Duffy. Administration is most effective ever, never before has the world come together over North Korean, the UN is done ignoring the US, Trump is masterfully in complete control of a grand strategy, and Puerto Rico deserves a rethinking of how the relief funds are spent to fix all these things that (previous administrations) have neglected.
While true, it's a very different story. There is a lot working against Democrats right now; disenfranchisement, gerrymandering, clustering, actual fake news, fox news (which is basically fake), and rampant disinformation.06hawkalum wrote:Doll Is Mine wrote:And it's only going to get worse. It will get worse and then it will get better. American politics is marked by a constant pendulum swing from the left to right and back again. Remember, many people thought the GOP was dead in 2008. Don't despair and assume the same about the Democratic Party in 2018.

I wish more people would talk about public financing of elections. A guy I know from high school is a rabid republican and ran for some seat in Washington state. I asked him only one question about his politics, what did he think of public financing elections? He didn't really have an answer.
I really think it would fix many of our problems and, despite it being called "public financing," it would surely be cheaper for the country overall. It would need to be rebranded or people would start whining about their tax dollars.
