I have forgotten to buy dishwasher detergent the last two times I've gone shopping since I noticed I was low. And now I don't have any!

I guess I'm gonna need to buy some tomorrow. I hope I also remember that I need more aluminum foil.

You should just cover all your dishes in aluminum foil. Then you'd never have to buy dishwasher detergent. One less thing to remember.

No need to thank me.

you could make a radio station for the school. I was going to do this at my school and have my students do an environmental news short, but then swiss law wouldn't allow the broadcasting. I think it would be ok in the US though.

If you don't know much about it, there's a specialization you can take through Coursera that offers a nice overview. I started it last year but then had to stop because of the new job hunt and move. I'm hoping to finish it by next summer.

pretty common nowadays for telemarketers/scammers to use your own area code & exchange (and sometimes, as you've seen, even the last four) to spoof the caller ID. The theory is that it makes you think it's more likely someone you know so you will answer.

It was happening to me like 4x a week until about a month ago.

Not sure what cell carrier you have, but att has something called call protect, which is an app you can install on your phone (iPhone and Android) that identifies spam calls and blocks they if you want. It’s free and works really well. I think I read T-Mobile and Verizon have similar services but I think Verizon charges for it. Worth checking out, I was getting multiple calls a day from “my credit card servicer” and “important information about my utility bill” and it’s totally stopped them.

When I was getting into my car to go get breakfast this morning a massive 10 foot tall ostrich looking bird jumped out from the passenger side and ran up to the woods. It scared the shit out of me. A crane? I wish I could have taken a pic.
