Headed out fishing on the beach last night after work. Came across a sperm whale calf that beached itself. Thought it was a shark at first before I got out of my truck. A few other people stopped to help. We held it in the tide line and wrapped in in blankets until the marine mammal stranding center arrived to take it. It's mother beached herself a few hours earlier. This one was about 3.5 feet. The mother was 10 feet and had to be euthanized. Not sure of the status of this one. No Titleist's were found.
