Did Kelly get him to shut up? He has effectively disappeared except for today at the Pentagon. Very few tweets, and nothing insane. Has he been golfing? If so it has been in secret.

Good Lord, it was a long interview. Towards the end of it they brought up the idea that people want her to put it on a shelf, back up, and go away because she's not helpful. She said she flatly reject that. She's not going anywhere. She has a responsibility because she has the scars from the campaign to make sure that these topics are in the public view. She's going to keep writing, keep talking, keep giving interviews, and stay in the public spotlight. I honestly cannot believe how clueless she is

I'm not as woke as most millenials, but this seems riddled with the fabled micro transgressions and sexism that I've heard about. Categorizing her behavior as whining, telling her to go the fuck away...

She released a book, and post-mortems can be cathartic and educating. There were many factors, including herself, that caused 2016 to happen. I do not know why most people expect Hillary to keep quiet, it just gives off a tone of "know your place."

FFS, she just won a majority of the vote in the 2016 election. She didn't lose in some embarrassing fashion (outside of the fact of losing to the racist, xenophobic, Russophile in the Oval). She is part of the Democratic Party, can raise money, has a legion of supporters, and is pretty wonky/good on issues. I think she is invaluable for the Democratic Party still even if she never runs again.

It's not her fault. She's extremely competent and was at the right place and time to become the first female president. The problem was the 30 years of negative press, some of it her own doing, but most of it manufactured garbage.

Biden may have won if he committed at the onset. I still cannot buy the myth of Bernie Sanders. I do not know how appealing he was to moderate and pragmatic Democrats. I loved his idealism, but most of what he said was just that - ideals. I think he may have had a strong chance against Trump, because Trump didn't attack issues like a normal candidate. Bernie probably would have been able to spout off about free college tuition, universal healthcare, and a $15 minimum wage without much of a push back on how to actually accomplish it.

So almost a year ago she lost the electoral system failing to achieve a presidency. Since then there have been regular sessions where she expresses her disbelief that she lost to an incompetent buffoon <ding ding ding> and then she goes on saying things like 'white women didn't vote for me', 'Bernie and Donald were mean to me', 'Comey did me in', etc., and so on. We get it, we know the facts, she ran a smug campaign and could not seem to pivot when it was obvious she needed to. The most popular president since Regan could not get the vote out for her. His extremely popular wife could not help her turn a corner. Her rather popular husband could not help her get it done either. I hear excuses about why she lost, mostly from her,on a fairly continuous basis. Own it and be helpful, this whining is not helpful or advancing anything. Like Trump, her vanity is getting in the way of her acting meaningfully, and because she is stuck re-litigating her loss, she is keeping the attention on the past in a non-constructive way. We need to move forward, and if she is not helpful, she needs to disappear. It is well past the time to pass the torch.

To be clear, it is not that she is not extremely smart, and excellent at policy, it is that her struggle to remain relevant, perhaps a fight to remain the most relevant Democrat, is not useful. If she really wants to be helpful, then she needs to work to make the party successful and shut up about what could have been. Spilled milk, or whatever your favorite phrase is when your parents tell you it is time to stop whining and move on.

The popular vote is as relevant as counties, maybe less so since the electoral college goes with counties in plenty of states.

it'll be of little consequence come 2018 anyway. i'm not overly concerned anymore.

I'm going off the NPR transcript, but she was asked if he was the nominee. She said he wasn't, that he ran in 08 but didn't run this time and can run in the future. She didn't say he would have or wouldn't have won (though you can assume, probably with some merit, her feelings).

She just wrote a book regarding her election. It is not irrelevant, and while it was nearly a year ago, it's not like she started writing about her loss before or immediately after it happened. I do not understand how this is so triggering to people.
