Her book reviews on Amazon are about as polarized as you can get, half 5 stars, half one star

Was driving home from work, in traffic, and came upon a car with Virginia tags that had a KASICH and DAVIS bumper sticker. I figured it was an old Tom Davis sticker and thought to myself, I probably would agree with this person a lot talking politics over a beer. As I got closer I saw to my chagrin it was a Glenn Davis bumper sticker, a fellow I had not heard of but is apparently running for VA LG. And as I rolled by the driver was actually Tom Davis.

GOP does something decent for a change, rolls back Sessions oppressive asset forfeiture program

The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved an amendment to the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act that will roll back Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s expansion of asset forfeiture.

Amendment number 126 was sponsored by a bipartisan group of nine members, led by Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash. He was joined by Democratic Reps. Ro Khanna of California; Washington state’s Pramila Jayapal, a rising progressive star; and Hawaii’s Tulsi Gabbard.

Civil asset forfeiture is a practice by which law enforcement can take assets from a person who is suspected of a crime, even without a charge or conviction. Sessions revived the Justice Department’s Equitable Sharing Program, which allowed state and local police agencies to take assets and then give them to the federal government — which would in turn give a chunk back to the local police. This served as a way for these local agencies to skirt past state laws designed to limit asset forfeiture.

The amendment would roll back Sessions’ elimination of the Obama-era reforms.

Chris Murphy is offering a medicare buy-in type bill as a smaller version of Sanders' bill. I love this...if this is the center-left counter i'm loving it.

the Trumpies thing HR McMaster is somehow a Soros plant, which means millions of Americans think Soros somehow outsmarted Trump and got him to appoint McMaster.

I have never paused to understand why McMaster is their enemy. His positions were well understood by anyone who did the smallest amount of reading before his appointment. Its not like he has sway over most of what they care about, aside from absolute power/control, so why is it even a thing?

they need excuses as to why Trump isn't doing as well as they'd like. they need people to blame, because they for whatever reason will not blame Trump for anything.

Didn't you constantly complain about Kasich during the primary because he was stealing votes from the castrated teleprompter recording, Rubio, and the dark, black hearted physical embodiment of the modern Conservative movement, Ted Cruz?

Was running for LG. He lost the primary to Jill Vogel.

He's currently in the House of Delegates.

this is the other thing Trumpies are on. they are all retweeting graphics that aren't supported with any evidence that there was major voting fraud in places like NH and other states that Clinton won. you don't even need to provide evidence for the Trumpies, they are a receptive audience, they will retweet it, and believe it as gospel.

Who is doing more to undermine the democratic process, the GOP or Russia?

GOP, I'd say. Mitch McConnell knew what was happening before the election and threatened to make it political if Obama did anything. Seems like Ryan with his weird jokes also knew something. Those are your leaders. At the very least McConnell knowingly allowed a foreign entity to influence our elections.

The family Flynn's arrogance makes them idiots. Why would they think that this stupidity would not catch up with them? Of course little Flynn is not worth $0.02, so his implication is just bonus stupid. At least dear old dad was somebody.

I ask this as a serious question, but knowing what we know now, what should the existing federal government have done in July 2016 about Russian involvement? I think that Obama was correct in that there would have been a backlash against Hillary if he had waded into the issue. How do you convince people that they are being manipulated by information?

I think a unified 2 party front saying it was an issue, & a lack of propaganda from the Right media which cast it as nothing, non-important paranoia would have helped tremendously. of course, that would have lowered the chances the GOP would have won, so there was no scenario where it would have happened.
