All all-indoor camp that won't give us a refund posted photos of the kids not spaced apart and not wearing masks. Gonna send those pics in the next email asking for my money back

My wife just called and asked if they could stay another night so she can get a new eye prescription tomorrow.

Looks like I'll be alone for another 28 hours or so.

My cup runneth over.

My condolences... For the impending end.

So, where do I find a good nanny and what cost am I looking at?

We had good success with Care.com.

I think we did $15 an hour, 35-40 hours a week

bad nannies are cheaper although a really bad nanny can be quite costly.

Looking for some thoughts:

- planning to offer 3 paid sick days and paid holiday for Labor Day and thanksgiving
- require a mask to be worn (my 4yo would also wear one)
- 4 days a week for 6 hours a day
- 20-30/hour from 8-2

Any of that crazy? What else? Do I need additional insurance?

Today my 4 year old returned to daycare. It is the first day I've not been with him the whole day since March 12.

yeh, we're starting to feel really bad for our kids. We're trying to get back to china, even though we don't want to go, just so the kids can return to school and daycare and their friends. With being up all night teaching, it's hard during the day to give them the attention and stimulation they need. We're getting by, but it's not sustainable.

My 3 year old started back at daycare August 25. She and her parents couldn’t be happier.

Only on Day 2 of full day school (last week my daughter was done at 11:45 each day) but I can already tell this is infinitely better than the spring

Had a look at my kids phone yesterday, and I had to ask him why he’s got about 500 pictures some girl on them. Selfie after selfie after selfie, all of her face, with partial sentences. He said that’s her preferred way to communicate. Not text message, not email, not speaking on the phone, which I know it’s for old people, just selfies with quips. I can’t even follow the conversation, so I guess I’m getting old.

I had a look at the account, and he hardly ever responds. So I guess this is sort of a one-way street, but he’s making the mistake of viewing her as a friend, I don’t think this is a friend behavior. At least she was clothed I guess.

younger one is 15, that is where boys are loaded guns with no safety. So much more clueless then young women. She a grade above too boot. Good thing school is not in or she'd exert ownership and be done.

My 18 month old loses and hides his binky constantly. We officially cannot find 3 of them and so tonight he will no longer have them. Tomorrow will suck.

I get we're in really hard times right now, and every kid is dealing with schooling differently, but I can't listen to anymore parents (including friends) complaining about every decision the Abington School Board makes like they're doing it all in a bubble. We get the official plan for going from virtual to hybrid tomorrow, but some parent saw an early copy and sent it around to a bunch of people. It looks like it's like McNeal's, and yeah, I don't love it, but I don't know what scenario I'd be 100% happy with.

Two half days per week in person. I mean, I get it, but I question whether it's worth all of the hassle of getting kids into the school. I was looking forward to sending my kid in, but now... We may just continue with the virtual education.
