don't really feel too qualified yet but... if it's nice enough out, walking Boston Common and then the Greenway to the harbor is really nice. then you're in that whole North End Italian section where I'd highly recommended Pomodoro for dinner (make a res, cash only). there's the MFA and ICA for museums, probably some other gems I haven't discovered yet. if you want to check out a neighborhood, Union and Inman Square in Somerville are cool. there seems to be a big comedy scene. that's all I've got for now

I usually just pick a couple T-stops and walk around those areas for couple hours each day. Usually find a new decent-to-great restaurant and something to do or see (I tend to gawp like a tourist looking for interesting bits of architecture). Of course I also tend to visit during PAX so I spend half the day at the convention center.

It's my RDO but I get to go in today and run some covert testing for a few hours. This is the OT I like.

Does your Dutch Bros have cold brew? If so, trying their drinks with cold brew is awesome.

I like walking up to Fenway on Ipswich during the offseason when it looks like an abandoned warehouse.

He came up to my car window yelling. I should have e fucking know. His story made no sense. The light turned and I panicked and he jumped in my car.

Told him I'd drive him to the train station. His car was broken down! He said he had diabetes and needed food and a taxi was waiting for him. His card got denied. How are you going to pay for the taxi then?

Did a U turn. Bought his fucking shit as he called his mom. Gave it to him and he bolted down the street. Fuck him.

Geez. If a stranger was yelling at me and getting close to my car at a red light, I would probably just drive right through. At least you know the guy won't die of hunger tonight.

It was at the Girrard exit at the Zoo. There are always people there begging. Ugh. Should have known when I started taking him to the train station and he didn't want to go. Glad I'm alive and he didn't mug me. I'm stupid.

One time a woman stopped me as I was going into a Rite-Aid near Temple and asked me to buy milk for her kids. I figured, whatever, caught me on a good day, and that's a unique enough request. She follows me into Rite-Aid, I go for like a quart of milk, and she points me toward some kind of expensive baby formula. I tell her, no, that's definitely not happening, and ask, do you want the milk or not? She begrudgingly says yes, I buy the milk, she grabs it off the counter and bolts without another word. Probably the most bizarre interaction I've had with another human being.
