There's just no mechanism for it.

And I'd say it's our fault but it was only 'necessary' because of the Republicans in senate so...I won't yell at Harry Reid too hard.

you mean dems?

say what you will about republicans but they at least understand that their job as a political party is to win elections. and they do that by whatever fucked up means necessary. democrats just sit on the sidelines taking L after L, more concerned about not straying from norms of politeness and Doing The Right Thing. Shit, NC Dems raised all that money to reopen the burned down GOP office and then were repaid richly by outgoing loser Gov McCrory trying to change the rules of engagement

unintentional humor related to the Roof proceedings: judge (or jury?) ruminating as to whether Roof's incarceration would pose a risk to other inmates ....

...hmmm, lessee, I know it's a crazy idea, but I'm guessing he might be a wee bit more at risk in practically any prison he might be incarcerated in in the United States

this seems to be a prevailing narrative that ignores Dems won 2 of the last three prez elections, 4 of the last 7 and 6 of the last 7 popular votes.

undeniably, they do great in national elections. but the 4 outta 7 times they won were when they had an all-universe candidate (bill and barack) who were both extremely charismatic and great orators. they were both amazing on the campaign trail.

on the state/local level they've gotten their asses handed to them for a good while now, and i think that matters. Republicans get into local office and basically push their shitty agenda nonstop and with little resistance. meanwhile we had dumbass debbie wasserman schultz running the DNC

dems voters who align with them are apparently just too darn insufficiently authoritarian

believing governance matters, and that people should strive to behave as principled adults rather than hypercaffeinated fratbois, is hopelessly sentimental

this seems important
Classified documents presented last week to President Obama and President-elect Trump included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump, multiple US officials with direct knowledge of the briefings tell CNN.

that said, I expect absolutely nothing to come of this. Seriously though, what COULD come of this? In the political/legal sense?

more on the former, cause I got nothing for the latter, but are we really blown away by what the GOP has put up? W was a brain dead scion, Trump is a near illiterate turd, and that's just the guys that won.

assuming Trump has a public hissyfit about the Russians having compromising intel on him, it should be interesting to see how the internet Trump army responds

So Russia has compromising information on our President to be. And we Americans can't even see his taxes. If you saw this in a movie, you wouldn't believe it.

Note:

Sources tell CNN that these same allegations about communications between the Trump campaign and the Russians, mentioned in classified briefings for congressional leaders last year, prompted then-Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid to send a letter to FBI Director Comey in October, in which he wrote, "It has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government -- a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States."

So Comey publicizes that Hillary's server MIGHT have contained classified material, but keeps this a secret. What a traitorous political hack!

yeah, the fact that they are investigating trump campaign ties to russia and may actually have something is mind blowing.

BTW, while the non-sense in Washington was in full gear, our wonderful Governor was giving his SOTS address. Nearly the entire speech (no exaggeration) was spent talking about the heroin epidemic and his plan to combat it. I've attached the text for anyone interested.

What is the number needed for a quorum in the Senate? Dem senators could pull a Wisconsin and flee the District for parts unknown.

Probably political suicide for many of them but really fuck this noise.

Them saying it doesn't mean they have it, but that they are even inferring it is very concerning.

The DNC is not some unique entity that got hacked and now no one else will. People need to wake the fuck up.

To your question, I have no clue.
