but I have to tell you, I tried scanning Woody's entire document (which by the way I'm pretty sure he dummied up himself) to find the quote, and there was enough in there that I said "ah, fuck it, it's got plausible deniability"

and it must be said the Neidermeyer Memorandum and the Woody Dossier do share stylistic similarities

The reason Buzzfeed put it out is because CNN got the say so that the IC briefed the President and Trump about it.

Who knows how verifiable it is right now but the main takeaway is that he must give up his tax returns if he wants to have ANY semblance of what it means to have a hint of credibility. I mean he must. He needs to show he is not bought.

I doubt it will happen. Republicans must turn on him for the good of the nation. But they wont.

This is probably fake, he knows it, and it will be used to discredit the real stuff that will surface later. I mean, that's what I would do if I was a tyrant wannabe and knew stuff would surface that makes me look like a traitor.

Trump is so incredibly stupid and naive. Besides the potential illegality of what he's done, there's a reason people don't do and say the sort of things he does.

First, did he really think he could play with fire with a former KGB, now tyrant like Putin and not get burned himself? And, second, did he really think he could bash the Intelligence Community and not face blowback?

Trump has placed himself deliciously between a rock and a hard place: If he's soft on Russia it will confirm suspicions that he's being blackmailed by Putin. If he's tough on Russia, Putin's propaganda machine will continue to destroy him.
