Our first coronavirus food problem. Dog seems displeased with the carrot rationing.

Considering getting a puppy since everybody is stuck at home for the foreseeable future. Originally the plan was to do so after our planned Easter weekend travel but that travel is almost certainly going to be kiboshed.

Our one concern is socializing the puppy with other dogs, given our recent experience with Lilly. But is it safe to have doggie play dates now? I realize dogs cannot contract coronavirus but they could have virus particles from people they've been in contact with on their fur...

Not an expert but if you're going true puppy I think you have plenty of time later to socialize with other dogs. I probably would not socialize until puppy vaccinations are complete.

Trying to help give everyone a distraction from current events. Lot's of room to talk about our dogs more. As you can see in the pic below mine has an OBSCENE amount of toys. You can also see how she pouts is when we clean them up.

Out of all those toys and chews she only buries/hides two of them, almost always behind the sofa. One is a rabbit and the other is a hippo. Both are unstuffed.

Seems odd to me that out of that mountain of toys and bones those are the two she hides.

We did end up getting a puppy a few days ago. Sorry I don't have any decent pictures yet. She's allegedly a Golden retriever/shepherd mix, but she looks like a black lab, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

She's about 11 weeks old and 21 lbs at the vet today. She excels at crapping on the rug and biting your face when she's trying to give kisses.

Congrats!

Work on those behaviors and you have something. A girl into carpet munching and shitting on faces earns a pretty penny at Mar-a-Lago.

Hope this works...

Not a great photo and she doesn't look like a puppy. My wife's shoes are so far unchewed...

Sal Pal! Hope it works out, phred.

My guy started limping pretty bad last night. Seems like he might have injured one of his paw pads or something. Emailed my vet and they said they could schedule a visit or I had the option to for a telemedicine appointment now. So I went with telemedicine. Got a ping from one of the doctors a few minutes later. She asked some questions and walked me through some tests. She ended up prescribing an anti-inflammatory drug and said to come in for an appointment next week if he's not getting better by then. Cost me $40 which will be credited towards an in-person visit if needed.

Pretty sweet setup! I know human doctors had been doing this sort of thing but didn't realize vets could too.
Another day, another box of stolen pens.
