Wait what

i missed the start of this question but i think a lady reporter told Roy that Madson said he had to go to the bathroom for 3 innings but didnt to not want to jinx the no hitter

Roy calls him a piece of work and says he is shocked he didnt do other things out there

something like that

reporter: "Madson wanted to go to the bathroom for about 3 innings out there in the bullpen, but he didn't want to move" (something like that)

Halladay: (chuckles/scratches his head) "Yea, he's a real piece of work. I'm surprised he didn't do anything else"

i was close

what was his answer?

Something to the effect of, "I thought the strike zone was pretty good and consistent for both sides. Any time something like this happens, there's going be someone who's unhappy for whatever reason. Orlando has syphilis, which can't be a fun thing."

Dan Baker just made an announcement asking the fans to leave so Roy can start running steps.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Dave Sheinin, Washington Post:

This much is clear now: All those recent Octobers that went by with Halladay stuck at home, while lesser pitchers hogged the stage, it was not Halladay himself that was cheated. It was baseball.

One of the best decisions of my life was to DVR this game. If anyone is in the neighborhood and wants to watch it again, stop by.

They are doing the recap on 1210 right now so it should be on in a minute or two.

I'm sure it's been noted already...

Number of hits:

Roy: 1
Reds: 0

Seriously, I wonder how often in baseball history a pitcher has had more hits in a game than the entire other team.

That's great.

More postseason wins than postseason hits allowed. You can go on and on with this.

Can't believe no one has posted Halladay's stats from his last two starts.

Yeah I heard it earlier. It was only OK. The problem was Ruiz was so tentative going after the ball, and it was a tough play, that I think he was crapping himself like I was rather than embracing the awesome.
