i guess burnett pitched well. but i feel like it may have been poor scouting/planning by our team. he kept throwing 1st pitch strikes and our guys did not swing or adjust to it in any manner.

Yup, that's not on the table at CBP.

He was, but he really can't complain about this too much due to the whole Howard "catch" for the double play.

He got into a groove where he was able to just relentlessly throw his curveball for strikes. That's good for him, and a also a once-in-a-season occurrence for him.

My own damn opinion: Winner of Game 3 wins the series.

Because we're gonna split 4 (Sabathia vs. Blanton/Happ) and 5 (Lee vs. whoever). And I don't like our chances of winning 6 and 7 in N.Y.

its hard to accurately scout a guy like burnett. hes totally capable of going out there 30 some times a year and pitching like this. but hes a head case. he will make pefect pitch after perfect pitch one start, then the next he'll walk 4 and have 3 wild pitches.

next time you plan to be in town let me know. It's a great place. I can help you with that.

You familiar with 99 Miles to Philly? It's an off shoot of pat's king of steaks; located in the heart of NYC. I've always wanted to watch a game there, but it's small as hell, and they don't serve beer there.

i agree but after 1 or 2 times through the lineup you adjust a little. it seemed like the only guy who adjusted was pedro and im pretty sure it just seemed that way bc he sucks.

My dad took me to a Phils game earlier in the season- against the Dbacks.

Howard nailed one into Ashburn Alley.

THAT was a bomb. Tonight's HRs were yankee stadium HRs.

Matsui's was BS, no question, but come on, Teixeira's was out in any ML park that isn't a joke (Citi Field), and probably even there.
