It's Done? Roy Halladay traded to Phils, Lee (?) to Mariners

Postby stevemc » Mon Dec 14, 2009 17:34:31

heyman now says Halladay will agree to an extension but probably won't happen today to close the deal.

Nobody here believes that rumor is true, not for one second.

I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

What Seattle needs, I should think, is offense. I'm hoping they got Blanton and Victorino from us.

Probably not, but I can dream.

Obviously he hasn't been reading my books on the subject.

Good move, I guess. But I felt we should have just held out longer til Toronto couldn't even demand the prospects they're getting from Seattle.

I think this just came down to the Phillies simply not being able to fit both Halladay and Lee in their budget. Being that Amaro couldn't find a taker for Blanton, Lee had to be moved in order for this deal to happen.

I understand it. Do I like it? No, but I get it.

I just don't believe it. There wasn't any team out there willing to trade a decent prospect or two for Joe? Victorino is a tough because he's older and most good teams already have CFs, but I just don't understand keeping Blanton.

You almost never get the chance to have an ace like Lee for that kind of money for one season. I think they should be taking advantage of it.

So Zolecki had no info on ESPNNews?

How about the guy from Beerleaguer who had it as just Taylor going, anything else from him?

Ninjas don't need to resort to trickery. BAHAHAHA.

Seriously, no one here's tried to find Seattle sources and that's what I found real quick. Doesn't sound at all believable and no comment record for that poster. But that's what it said.
