It's Done? Roy Halladay traded to Phils, Lee (?) to Mariners

Ed Wade doesn't like the lack of veteran relievers in the deal.

What if we get someone totally different and just as awesome like that one time we were going to get Halladay and then got Lee.

You realize they have Franklin Gutierrez in CF and Ichiro in right? Why do they want Shane?

Probably not, but I can dream.

$#@!. that would be sick

blanton and victorino to sea
aumont, morrow, etc to toronto
we get cash and halladay

then we promote taylor to RF. put werth in CF.

Exactly, except the cash part. I would think the Phillies would have to eat all of Halladay's contract to get away with trading no prospects. I would also part with Brown (only) to get Halladay in this scenario.

Heyman saying the trade is done and Halladay will sign the extension to finalize it, but probably not today.

Uh... left? Griffey should retire.

I forgot about Gutierrez, and Settle does need offense, but I guess they need it in the infield.

I'm hearing Seattle is receiving Cliff Lee, the Phillies receiving Roy Halladay and the M's sending OF Michael Saunders, P Phillip Aumont and P Brandon Morrow to Toronto along with Philadelphia sending P J.A. Happ and OF Dominic Brown to Toronto. How likely this deal could happen? Sounds great having a legit 1&2 !

I like this deal a lot less.

It'd be nice if he could tell us what the trade, you know, is.

There's hope!

Lee's agent Darek Braunecker hasn't heard anything, tweets Tyler Kepner of the New York Times.

Just got off the phone with my guy...

He's saying that Amaro is REALLY unhappy about all the publicity this trade has gotten and he's blaming Toronto for the leak...he's now demanding reparations for 1993, and free healthcare
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Some more from that Seattle Times blog from a commenter with 1300+ comments.

Jason Churchill "CONFIRMED" three names to Philly, none of whom is Saunders or Morrow.

If so - HOLY COW.

Moneyball is awesome.
