you may be right about the prospects....but Happ makes it a MUCH better offer IMO

They asked for Happ and we included him in the counter, so, that's sort of a wash, which is why I didnt mention it

makes sense...I just think JPR is seriously overplaying his hand. They could be left with nothing instead of Mike Taylor in the outfield with Donald in the bigs and Happ on the mound. I'm not a Carrasco fan at all, but i do think he can be a pretty electric reliever. I'd swap Marson for Donald or even throw him on top. Then I think its a win-win for both teams

The Angels are just like every other contender. They have to deal primarily from their minor league system to make acquiring an ace like Lee or Halladay worth their while, and Ricciardi doesn't seem interested in many of their prospects. The Phillies are the only suitor left whom the Jays haven't attempted to pillage from their major league depth chart, and we have (imo) the most legitimate and significant offer on the table for them.
