Halladay Week? He probably won't want to be center of attention though

What a bummer it had to end like this.

Sad, but not as horrible watching him struggle last September.

Thanks for everything, Doc.

Wasn't this destined to happen? I mean - no news about him, a horrible 2013. . . it was obvious that sadly, Doc was done. I'm a little butthurt that he signed with the Jays to retire as a Blue Jay. It's not like we weren't good to the guy and paid him a gazillion dollars.

It was time. Shoulder just wore out.

Wish he could have sported some World Series bling with us. Close but not close enough.

Have fun with all the loot Roy.

Just watched the perfect game abridged video. He was great that night, but the playoff no-hitter was artwork. And easily in my top 5 favorite Phillies memories ever.

I was there for his perfect game. It was the most amazing game I have ever seen in person, and I have the ticket signed by Doc and Charlie framed in the stairway of our house.

Here he is on the mound from that game:

Thanks for a great career, Doc.

Saw this tweet somewhere:

Roy Halladay probabaly wanted to sign a one day contract with the Phillies but all Amaro would offer was a three year deal with a vesting option.
