Verdasco is playing the best tennis of his career. He hadn't dropped a set before that match, in fact, I'm pretty sure he only dropped 12 games in 3 rounds before that match.

Blake also bounced by Tsonga, he's looking strong for a chance to repeat as a finalist, but he'll have to go through Fed again.

Roddick/Djokovic tonight...

it'll be interesting to see if roddick can overcome the mental hurdle. feds absolutely owns him.

I was too, but I have a class at 8 A.M. I can't skip(assignment due) and I don't want to be up the whole time only to miss a thrilling 5th set.

I am going to be able to accomplish it. I have the red bulls on hand plus a good friend put some large money on it and will probably keep me up anyway. He took Roddick. Federer extremely owns him but the payout for a Roddick win is pretty freakin sweet. That at least evens the risk/reward factor a bit.

It would be nice to see Roddick get over this hump.

Roddick just told the line judge to "have some sac". He almost went all out McEnroe.

Federer is just sick.

Now Roddick is busting out some power in the second set. 4 straight aces. Lost the firtst set 6-2, leads the second 4-3.

Yeah but he has looked a lot better after the first set. He curses a lot and got a warning. That exchange was pretty funny. Then he dropped a Federer like hit on Federer. I don't think he has much of a chance but he is playing him better than he has on a lot of occasions. It's almost surreal watching some of the things Federer and Nadal do. I am not a big tennis guy but you can just tell they are freakish at what they do. It is definitely enjoyable to watch.

Federer wins. Just too good. He literally shifts gears in the middle of a volley. He is freakish. I think he takes back #1 after this is over between he and Nadal. Nadal still has to beat someone else to get to the finals but is there really any question that he will? The only way he's gonna lose is if he injures himself. So another Nadal-Federer final.

I just wish Roddick was close to their level so there was someone great from the US to root for.

Verdasco is playing the best tennis of his life, I certainly wouldn't count him out, but I still think Nadal beats him. Nadal is just playing too good right now. However, I think Verdasco at least takes a set.

I actually stayed up for this one. Caught a quick nap from 9-midnight, so I'm good to go.

Tied at a set all and both players have exchanged a break in the 3rd, Verdasco serving down 1-2.

I haven't followed tennis in a while, but I caught some of the Nadal/Simon match a day or so ago. Is it just me, or are these guys super fucking awesome? It seems to me that any of these top guys would leave someone like Sampras lying mid court in the fetal position, crying like a baby. And Agassi I don't think could even be a ball boy anymore.

I watched the first two sets but intended to watch it all. Verdasco was impressive, and pretty much had Nadal on the defensive for much of the match. Nadal pulled off a sick shot to set up match point in the second match.

EDIT, 6:30PM: Watching what I missed right now. Epic match. Verdasco was out of gas in the fifth set. It's a shame because he played Nadal so well.

He could have very easily won that 3rd set tiebreak, too. He made some bad errors in the tiebreak and it completely negated his hard work that set to break Nadal twice.
